Principals DO think it's something that happens everyday, but what they don't realise is that there are many reasons behind it. It's not just about Autism or Aspergers. The bullies can just as easily be children who have so many problems at home - -such as caring for a disabled parent- that they need some place to vent. Now don't take this as me defending the bulllies. What I mean to say is that this in fact makes the jobs of the principals easier. This is a problem much easier to deal with than Autism or Aspergers.
This is a problem that sadly cannot be sorted out easily. The principals need to get in touch with the parents, but even then, the parents need to co-operate. There's no easy way out. It'll probably just be something like racism: we can try all we want, but there will always be some left in the world, unfortunately.

In response to:Lessons From Virginia Tech

Hi carib, a very difficult question and it deserves a lot more answers, no child should be bullied by anyone, ie, other children or even worse adults. One of the major problems is that the bullied child, or in the workplace, bullied adult, is not aware of how or where to go to find the answers, often because of embarrassment.

bullying wasn't what caused the VT shootings. ok, they may have been a small part of it, however, Cho's mental issues meant he was unable to deal with things in the same way as normal folk.

Dont witch-hunt the bullies.
Next you'll be saying its the fault of the guns...

In response to:First Time

not much of a writer, are you?
